ABOUT DOUG
Doug is a long-time resident of Delaware, Ohio and a founder, vocalist, and guitarist of Magnetic.
His favorite bands include; Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Audioslave, Foo Fighters, Tool, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Mathews Band, Sting, Slipnot, Metallica, Van Halen, and Rush.
Doug has been inspired to sing and play guitar during adulthood by the incredible musicianship of James Hetfield, Geddy Lee, Dave Grohl, Jerry Cantrell, Jim Root, and Tom Morello. He uses Fender and Taylor guitars almost exclusively while performing with Magnetic.
Doug hopes that our music will bring people together and ensure that the 90’s experience lives on for many years to come!
ABOUT AMY
Amy, acoustic guitar & vocals, was sung to as a child and has been singing ever since. It all stared with “Puff the Magic Dragon” and has progressed through folk, pop, oldies, country, gospel, and rock, and grunge.
She has sung in the car, the shower, in choirs, in bands, to her kids, at funerals, in several churches, and while mowing the lawn. In her mid-20’s she took up guitar so she could accompany herself.
Performing Gwen, Sheryl, Shirley, Dolores, and Amy (Lee) has given her a newfound appreciation for the vocal chops necessary to do such legends justice.
She hopes to draw audiences back in time to when these ladies and their male counterparts ruled the airwaves.
